CPS77
CPS77 is a native macOS app (SwiftUI, macOS 14+) for reading and writing the codeplug of OpenGD77 devices — straight over the USB serial port, with no WebUSB detour. It is also the default CPS for FreeTRX.

What is it?
CPS77 is built specifically for the Mac, with the look and feel you
expect from macOS. It connects directly to the device (USB-CDC,
/dev/cu.usbmodem…), reads and writes the codeplug, and
comes with a full editor for channels, zones, contacts and talkgroups.
On top of that are the DMR-ID database and
satellite management — both can be filled straight
from the internet and written to the device.

DMR-ID database
- The device's callsign database — its own flash area, separate from the codeplug
- Load directly from radioid.net in the app, or import a
user.csv - Compressed fits the complete worldwide database (~300,000 entries); uncompressed for smaller, curated lists
- Read back from the device (either format) and export as CSV
- Entries stored as
CALLSIGN Name— first or full name, instead of a truncated city - Writing reboots the radio so the firmware re-reads the database
Satellites
- The 25 satellites the firmware tracks — they live in the codeplug and go to the device with the normal write
- Fetch orbital data from amsat.org, frequencies and CTCSS from the SatNOGS database — or import a TLE file
- A picker shows RX/TX and CTCSS, marks satellites already in the codeplug, and caps at the free slots
- FM-only by default — the radio can't work linear/SSB transponders
- Editor per slot: name, RX/TX pairs for voice/APRS, TX and arming CTCSS
- The keps epoch is shown per satellite, so stale orbital data is obvious; re-importing refreshes it
